An indolent extranodal non-Hodgkin lymphoma that arises from mucosal sites and is composed of small B-lymphocytes. It usually affects the gastrointestinal tract. Other sites of involvement include lung, skin, thyroid gland, head and neck, ocular adnexa, and breast.
