A category of neoplasms characterized by the presence of epithelial and stromal elements. It includes the following clinicopathological entities: adenofibroma, adenomyoma, Mullerian adenosarcoma, and malignant mixed mesodermal (Mullerian) tumor. These neoplasms arise from the female reproductive system and extremely rarely from the peritoneum.
