A neoplasm that arises from the hepatocytes or intrahepatic bile duct epithelial cells and is characterized by the absence of atypical or malignant cytological and architectural features, and absence of invasive features or metastatic potential. Representative examples include hepatocellular adenoma and bile duct adenoma.
